Dave Anderson

What I do for a living: Waterboy

Born: Killarney, Manitoba

Family: Pamela Anderson (wife, lucky me) daughters Alexa and Kara

How I became a Christian: God chased me 32 long blurry years and I finally stopped running.

Spiritual gift: This is one area that I struggle in. Humour I think. if you see a gift I would appreciate you letting me know.

Favorites:

Music: Country, rock, Christian

Artist: David Crowder

TV Show: Survivor

Place: Home

Book of the Bible: Proverbs

Song: Voice of Truth, by Casting Crowns

Movie: Braveheart

Foods: All of them

Cartoon Character: Elmer Fudd

Verse: For with God nothing is impossible!  Luke 1:37

Most challenging book I’ve read lately: If You Want to Walk on Water You’ve Got to Get Out of the Boat, by John Ortberg

The personal project I’m working on: Me! This one seems to be ongoing; I can’t wait to see how it ends.

My first job: washing dishes at the Rolling Pin restaurant in Brandon

Most Prized Possession: My wedding ring. It’s a reminder of the best day of my life.

Few people know that I: struggle with depression.

Best way to make me laugh: Fart

My most annoying habit: Overeating

Words I overuse: Huh! or What?

The best gift I’ve ever received: My children. God blew my socks off with those gifts.

The best gift I’ve ever given: My love (sounds kind of cheesy eh?)

I would love to meet: Carlos Perea Lozano, Yessica Holguin Nince, Dayanna Liceth Torres Villalobos. They are our Compassion children.

I would love to live: some place where there are no mosquitoes

If I could live my life over, I’d: put more of an effort into everything.

I’d describe my faith as: a game of red light-green light, on again-off again.

I can’t wait to ask Jesus face to face: Why couldn’t He just write me a letter when He wanted me to do something or learn something?

I’d appreciate prayer for: My family, and that we fully “get” what being a Christ-follower means.

Are you involved in ministry? House Church, Ushering, and Drama

What do you enjoy most about it? People!

How has serving in ministry added to your spiritual growth? It was through a House Church that I accepted Christ, it was through a House Church that I decided to get baptized,  and it is through House Churches that I have met some of the most loving, and caring people ever. Thank you!!!
