Stafford Greer

My Position at PAC: Pastor of Connection and Mobilization

Where I was Born: Milton, Ontario

Family: Wife (Joanne), two daughters (Elliot, 3, Aowyn 2), one son (due to be born early July)

How I became a Christian: I was fortunate to be born into a family where both parents were Christians who prayed for and sought to teach their children about their God and faith.  The result was that I came to faith at a very young age and was continually prayed for by my parents as God continued to work (and still continues to work) on shaping me into the man he desires me to be.

Spiritual Gift: I have a unique combination of being gifted in administration as well as relationally

Verse: “but Martha was distracted with much serving.  And she went up to [Jesus] and said, ‘Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her then to help me.’ But the Lord answered her, ‘Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, but one thing is necessary.  Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her.’” Luke 10:40-42

The book I’ve just finished: Church 3.0, by Neil Cole

The personal project I’m working on: Spending time on my mountain bike so I can tag along with the big dogs on the trails

My first job: Working for my parents bulk food business, bagging cookies, brown sugar, other various bulk items that needed to be packaged (seems kind of ironic when I put it that way!)

My most prized possession: My G&L ASAT Classic electric guitar

Few people know that I... Now if I told you, it wouldn’t be true any more!

Best way to make me laugh: Really good impressions/accents of people

My most annoying habit: Picking my fingernails/cracking my knuckles (I’m trying to stop!)

Words I overuse: Interesting

The best gift I’ve ever received: It sounds cliché, but this has to be God’s blessing on my marriage and family!

The best gift I’ve ever given: I am really bad at giving gifts… but I try!

I would love to meet: Dave Grohl

I would love to live: in the mountains

If I could live my life over, I’d…arrange it so I could have met my wife in high school

I’d describe my faith as: something I deeply desire to pass on to my children

I can’t wait to ask Jesus face-to-face: Who is Melchizedek?

I’d appreciate prayer for: a quick transition into life at PAC and Portage la Prairie
